DISASTER is a board game that puts each player in impending doom, requiring communication and trade to win, an objective set in the class for which it was created. The game’s mechanics were developed by a classmate and myself, while the graphics were entirely my own. After researching and playing many types of games, we sought to create an experience that pitted players against the game. Throughout the development, we held play-tests with board game enthusiasts to gauge their interest and the success of various aspects. My graphics were inspired by the semi-futuristic setting and CMYK color palette of the Bradbury Thompson Westvaco series that I feel solidified the chaotic play-style.
